INTERIOR: Autumn, 1966. A hotel near Norwich. ENTER Cast and Crew with suitcases.
The much-loved ‘Put-Up Crew’ are a group of actors who have starred in a series of British farce comedies made since the early '50s, starting with the hugely popular 'The Put Up Job' and followed by a number of increasingly less well-received sequels including; 'Put Up or Shut Up','Putting Up The Ritz', 'What a Put Up', 'Putting Up Abroad' and 'Putting Up A Fight!'. They are essentially a slightly lower budget version of the Carry On team.
The Put Up Crew hear from their respective agents that a new film is planned – a film which will finally end their long-term contract with Anglo-Amalgamated. Various writers, directors and producers are also contacted for early discussions.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the film industry the word goes out that Anglo-Amalgamated are hiring production crew for a new venture, and are particularly looking for people with experience on horror films.
By the Autumn shooting is in full swing and the whole cast and crew have travelled to Norfolk for some location filming, where they will be accommodated in a local hotel...
